Mining Claim Services

In case you haven't already figured it out, contrary to the popular misconception, filing a mining claim is not a simple or easy matter. It takes research, time and a lot of perseverance to locate and file a good mining claim, not to mention an understanding of maps, the Public Land Survey System (PLSS), mining claim filing procedures, mining claim research procedures, an understanding of how to use BLM's Geo Communicator and LR2000 programs, mining law and more.

To help others through the process, we offer services to assist you in filing your own mining claim, anywhere in the Western United States.

For a flat fee, our claims researcher and author/mining historian, Mr. Kerby Jackson, will work with you on a one on one basis to help you locate and stake your very own mining claim. He will lead you through the process (no matter how long it takes) and show you how to find and file your very own mining claim, as well as track down likely claim locations in your mining district of preference and lead you step by step, from start to finish and to help you avoid the many common problems that often plague first time (and even experienced!) claim stakers.

Note: This auction is not for a book, e-book or a text document, but one on one services to help you locate and file a valid mineral claim that will bring you years of enjoyment and security. You will be working directly with Mr. Jackson to accomplish your goal of locating and staking a claim. Kerby is well known for his work on mining history in the State of Oregon and elsewhere, and is often called upon by journalists, authors and publishers, not to mention other miners, for assistance in regards to mining history and related topics.

As you might guess, in addition to being able to pick and choose the location of your claim, using our service is A LOT cheaper than buying a mining claim

Very important: Our flat service fee does not include the actual expense of filing your claim or the research of location notices at the county recorder in question. As a general guideline, the expenses involved in filing a claim typically includes $20 to $45 to the County Recorder (this fee varies by county) and $189 to the Bureau of Land Management. In popular mining areas, it may also be necessary to research the records of nearby claims at the County Recorder, which is typically about $5 per claim.





About Us: JKR Mining is a small scale placer mining company located in the heart of Southern Oregon Gold Country. In addition to offering mining claims and mining claim services, we are currently engaged in mining and are also active in the local mining community and are members of the South West Oregon Mining Association, an organization which is at the forefront of defending our mining and property rights here in SW Oregon. JKR Mining is owned by Kerby Jackson and James Debruler.
