Topic: Newbie wants to buy some gold

Hi everybody.  I'm new to GoldBay and honestly before today... haven't even heard of it before.  I want to buy some gold to collect, and to surprise my kids next time we pan out or cons.  Living in Wisconsin, we don't get much more than a few tiny flakes and I want to see the look on their face if they see a couple pickers in there!

I'm looking to buy just a couple grams of pickers for now... but honestly, I'm a little leary of this site.  I was planning on buying some on Ebay but this place looks pretty promising.  I'm looking at the 11.5 Grams for 412.00 right now, or something along that line.  Is something like that common around here?

I guess I'm just hoping that I'll get a few responses from this to let me know it's an active site before I buy.  Also is PayPal the preferred method of payment, and does this site pretty much work exactly like Ebay?  I don't see "current bid" anywhere though... am I missing it?

Thanks for your help and I hope to but lots of gold here!!

Re: Newbie wants to buy some gold

that price you is very cheap at the time - as gold prices goes up and down all the time - at the time i write its worth around $443.38 @ 38.55 a gram
plus for nuggets to what they look like and colour it can rise 10 to 15% of value
what i do is use a gold Calculators @ this site http://goldprice.org/Calculators/Gold-P … ators.html .

now talking about paypal - its the safe way to buy - if you don't get you gold nugget in the time value ,then paypal can get your money back

some far i have bought from 3 seller here - 2 from the usa and one from Australia - the usa seller take 3 to 4 weeks to get my shores .with the aussie guy i get it less than a week.

oh if you want a good deal here and lots of fun try the sites Live auctions & chat — Tue 5:30pm Pacific - it fun to play - auction run for 15 mins and there are 20 auction going off, starting as low of 50c -most sell for around 15 to 20$ in the end ,this happen on the main page of site. plus you can talk to member in chat as the auction goes on, you can ask all your question live.

with ebay i have seem alot of pieces over price.maybe cause there are like 10 million people on site.here the ratio is smaller.

most gold here are just on the "gold spot" price, some can be less.
-gold spot is a live us$ pricing of gold in once.

if you need any-more help just ask ,will be happy to help

RATT

p.s that gold is buy now - the seller wants that price - if i had the money i was going to buy this. the is asking under the gold spot price and the way gold going it will worth another 50$ in 2 weeks - just note it's in usa$ here

Re: Newbie wants to buy some gold

This post is old but the topic is not.

You made a statement about your level of trust in Dave and this site. Let me address that.

Buy your gold here. If you have to go to ebay then read about the scams that Dave has posted here. He is legit. Learn from him and you will NEVER be the victim of any gold scam. He will teach you how to identify fake nuggets and how to value real ones.

He sells nuggets here and I have NEVER seen a misleading picture or description, EVER.

I have seen Dave send the wrong gold to someone, post it on the site, and fix it faster than you can even say ebay sucks.

I would not hesitate to ship Dave a pound of gold to evaluate or look at because I know he would send every single grain of it back.

You can trust this site. I see he has limited the access to sell on the site. I am glad. He is protecting you the buyer as well as his reputation and the site. I have bought from many sellers here and never had a hint of problems.

I have some gold to sell. That is why I am here. Look for an auction of two from me right after Dave vets me.

This is the site for gold purchasing, selling, and information. Gold Bay ROCKS!!!! Find someone that says any different and I will eat a gram of gold and post vids of me panning for it in a day or two.

That said, there are a few guys here that you have to be careful of. Husky comes to mind. HE WILL SNIPE AN AUCTION FROM YOU AND LAUGH ABOUT IT. I have lost many auctions to him and others, especially when Dave had no minimum 5 minute auctions. Many good times here getting my butt beat. I always thought that if there was a nugget that I really really really wanted that got snipped from my cheap arse that I could send a msg to the winner and he would let it go.

I wish I had the time to hang out here more.

Re: Newbie wants to buy some gold

I am very new..So far i have found this to be a great place..The time that was spent with me was great. Dave is a great man..we e-mailed back and forth..He let me know he is here to help..After spending the amount of time that he did.. I was sold on the site and know i can trust him 100%..I read a post about e bay i agree..Lesson learned when i was sold 5 bags of flake and told it was the highest quality because each bag was one troy ounce..now i need to package it nicely as a free gift for my customers..It is OK to give the free gift but i give the money to The American Cancer Society..That means i need all the money i can make..I then stumbled upon this site. ..I am spreading the word right now..faithworks98...(thank you)
