Topic: You need gold, but it's not EDIBLE

I encourage everyone to get gold to protect their assets (I converted my IRA to gold), but here's the drawback:  When the economy tanks, and you need to barter for everyday necessities, will gold be the way-to-go?

How do you prove to your neighbor that you're offering REAL gold, and not gold-plated lead??  And, of what use is it to him, when his main concern is how to feed his family?

I suggest putting a portion of your assets into STORABLE FOOD.  It's the ultimate barterable commodity ... and in the worst-case scenario, *you* can eat it.

Just something to chew on (pun intended).

Sorry about that.  I posted it under "Anything Goes", so I *thought* it would be OK there.
