Topic: Does GoldBay have rules for sellers?

I bid on an item and was told I had won it.  The seller hasn't acknowledged my emails trying to get an address for payment since PayPal stated he wasn't registered with them.  Today I finally receive a email stating I didn't win it but could buy it for 6 times the amount I won it for.  I'm not real active on GoldBay but remember several years ago when I signed up I understood that by dealing on GoldBay I was committed to anything I agreed to.  It was in other words a contract that I had to follow through on, no matter if I was buying or selling.  If this seller can stand to look at himself or herself in the mirror realizing they're what they make of themselves over a small deal like this.  And they approve of themselves, god bless them, cause they need it.

Re: Does GoldBay have rules for sellers?

I'm sorry to hear about that. Hopefully dave can help you. I take it that you received an email saying that you won it. My understanding is the same as yours, that your entered in to a contract. Read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. If you in fact did win it and they don't honor the contract I would expect them at the very least to not be allowed to sell here any more. Thats just my personal opinion.

Re: Does GoldBay have rules for sellers?

That person in fact has the item relisted today on GoldBay for $225.00  I'm unable to find Dave's contact info, or I would have forwarded the email I received.

Re: Does GoldBay have rules for sellers?

That is really odd because I have done quite a bit of business with that gentleman and I have never had any problems.

Re: Does GoldBay have rules for sellers?

Hey guys, I didn't start this discussion to debate weather or not I'm crying about nothing.  Thanks for Dave's Email I did foreward the Mary Walker Email to him but as yet haven't heard anything.  If you doubt me, give me your email to allow me to forward this.  I never said anyone did anything to anyone else, I only stated what happened to me.  If it happened to you,you would not likely be reading these posts.  I'm waiting to see if Dave responds and how he responds.  I've trusted him with a lot of my money and he was outstanding.  If you agree to put something up for auction and then after it's been there for at least 5 days and the auction ends and you create an invoice agreeing to the winning bid.  Then decide you didn't get what you thought you should have and tell the winner, "I don't know what Dave's doing, it's not my fault.  It's $225.00 but if you really want it, I'll let you have it for $200.00 no less".  Is
that the way your going to allow your auctions to end up?  It does not matter if this seller has never screwed anyone before, this shouldn't be allowed on any auction site.

Personaly I did not think that you were crying about anything, and I'm sorry if it came across as such. I think that both of our comments were geared more towards the fact that this is out of the norm of what we have experienced our selves. It's just like ebay or any other auction site, some people have good experience with a seller and some don't. So again I apologize if you mistook anything I've said. and I hope it turns out for the best.

Re: Does GoldBay have rules for sellers?

So Dale and Mary have you guys come to resolution yet? I know BOTH of you are upstanding and honest people and the error came in fact from goldbays new auction software in that Roger and Mary thought that when they put a buy now price in thats the price  that a person would have to pay. They didnt know that they also needed a Reserve to protect themselves.

I would like to know the final outcome
